Polymer Filter Elements (Click
here for more polymer filtration products)
For
over 30 years, Purolator Facet has been designing and manufacturing
polymer filter elements to meet the growing needs of polymer producers
worldwide. Purolator Porofelt® and Pormesh® elements
feature the most advanced media technology and manufacturing techniques
in the industry. These features provide the user with reliable
and consistent filtration, and extend the life of the filter well
beyond that of competitive filters. |

Features & Benefits:
- Electron beam welds. Electron beam welding permanently
joins the filter media, end fittings and core. The process
is performed in an oxide-free vacuum chamber using 4% of the heat
input of conventional welds. The risk of media sensitization
during welding is eliminated.
- Diffusion-bonding. Each layer of filter media
is metallurgically bonded at every point of contact. This
helps ensure stable pore size and structure at high pressures,
with no media migration or wire loss. Additionally, the
stress-relieved wires enhance the filters' corrosion resistance.
- Wide range of micron ratings and media. Porofelt®
diffusion-bonded fiber metal felt depth media are available from
3µ - 60µ absolute. Poromesh® diffusion-bonded
wire mesh surface media are available from 10µ - 200µ
absolute.
- In-house core manufacturing. The two-stage cold
forming process results in maximum uniformity and strength.
In addition, electropolishing is used to remove all burrs and
provide a smoother surface for polymer flow.
