Features
- High strength and dimensional stability
- No media migration
- Continuous operating temperature range of -50° C to 550° C ( -65° F to 1000° F)
- Stainless steel construction
- Corrosion/abrasion resistant
- Custom configurations, including layers of perforated plate, fiber metal felts and photo-etched foil
- Precise pore size distributions and fluid flow permeability
- Easily cleaned/back-flushed
 |
Furnace sintering at over 1100º C in a controlled atmosphere causes metal molecules to migrate across contact points of the various layers. Recrystallization takes place to form a completely integrated structure. |
Product Benefits
- Lower initial pressure drop
- Longer on-stream life
- Reduced labor required to change out filters
- Fewer elements required for new installations

This image shows a cross section of the Poroplate® Cleanable Media. Fine mesh captures contaminants on the upstream surface. Downstream support layers provide open flow channels for low differential pressure, high flow rates and long filtration cycles. Poroplate® media backflushes well, yielding like-new filter elements. |
Poroplate® Filter Elements provide unmatched performance in a wide range of applications, including:
- Chemical Processing - Removal of precious metal catalyst from an organic intermediates stream
- Gases - Filtration of fine particles in nitrogen stream
- Polymers - Removal of gels and black specks in polyethylene, polypropylene, and fluorinated polymers
- Food/Beverage - Removal of iron oxides in steam service; removal of pulp from fruit juices
- Power Generation Plants - Pre-coated Poroplate® tubes remove iron oxide and other impurities from condensate water
